After a few years of hibernation, Michelle is starting to finish all those unfinished works. New out are Autumn Solace, a commission, and Fisherman's Village. Fisherman's Village is part of a upcoming art award, so is temporarily unavailable. In April 2018 Michelle and her father Steve Bellamy are having a joint exhibition at the Atkins Gallery, Nelson. Michelle will have a good selection of limited edition prints and two of her favourite works, leaving the walls in her house bare, in the show. Dates will be sent out soon.
The walk begun with a run, well actually more like a jog, in boots. I dropped everyone at the start of the Waston Creek Route then drove back to the end of the Jameson Ridge Track, parked and jogged back. The track started as a grassy track, out in the open unrelenting sun, blasted by the wind and being directed on possibly the longest route around the Ella Stations Hop fields in the hottest...

After quite some time I have completed 'Endless Evening at Lake Alexandrina'. Having visited the lake many times, this long calm evening pictured in the painting has been the most memorable. I arrived late on a balmy autumn afternoon having never visited before, and it was simply stunning, not a breath of wind with the last golden leaves grasping onto the tree branches. Time seemed eternal as the sun slowly sank behind the hills. More visits over the years...
