This one features the majority of the Richmond Ranges in Nelson, New Zealand, with a little Mai Mai alone in the foreground. Using subtle blues with hints of green and a touch of warmth, this painting is a more gentle, calming scene. Michelle is hoping to finish this one in the next couple of weeks.

After quite some time I have completed 'Endless Evening at Lake Alexandrina'. Having visited the lake many times, this long calm evening pictured in the painting has been the most memorable. I arrived late on a balmy autumn afternoon having never visited before, and it was simply stunning, not a breath of wind with the last golden leaves grasping onto the tree branches. Time seemed eternal as the sun slowly sank behind the hills. More visits over the years...
