Michelle is having a joint exhibition at the Quiet Dog Gallery in Nelson with David Stones. She will have six paintings of the Nelson Bays and Nelson Lakes region on show.
Michelle is currently working on an exciting new range of works for her joint exhibition with the Quiet Dog Gallery in Nelson at the end of January 2019.
Michelle has been working on Ball Hut, Tasman Glacier in the Mt Cook National Park recently. She has now just completed this beautifully detailed painting, featuring the bright red Ball Hut tied down alone on a moraine shelf above the Tasman Glacier.
Here are the small circle works available now! 200 and 300mm, these beauties are a mix of subtle tones and fine detail. On Marine Ply, they are made to last with the exposed ply edge a lovely feature.
After waiting for almost a year for snow to melt, tarns to unfreeze and a big high to sit on top of us, Michelle finally headed into the mountains. After missing out earlier in the year, as everything froze up early, Michelle has been greatly anticipating this photo-shoot.
Michelle is working on a new painting of Ball Hut. She has painted this bright red hut before, but wanted to explore different aspects of the location. With a wider composition, showcasing the mountains, 800x500mm and softer foreground.
