Still working consistently on this scene from Falls Dam. Progress is gradually slowing down as I’ve been moving between shaping the hills and adding detail, texture and softness to the long grass.
These are the thick layers of colour that are applied before any shape or detail is added. By the end of this update there are already 6-10 thick layers in some areas.
Follow the St Arnaud ridge along until you come across a group of tarns nestled in a sheltered basin above Rough Creek. Here there are are expansive views to the east towards the Raglan Range.
