Been working out what will be going on this year. Looks like "High Country Dawn" will be my last available new painting for 2021. For those of you who haven’t seen this one, here it is.
Getting to the trail a little later in the day than expected turned out rather well, the sun had lost it’s heat and started to drop behind the hills. I was hoping to ride my bike in to Riordans Hut in the Kahurangi National Park, and figured if I didn’t mess around I’d get there just before dark.
Riding the bike through the Rainbow/Molesworth Stations recently I came to the Coldwater Creek campsite where I met a lady with two horses and not much else on a journey from the top of the South Island to the bottom.
This painting is part of the 'Layers Of Aotearoa' exhibition. Exhibiting together for the first time, ‘Layers of Aotearoa’ brings together new paintings by sisters Caroline and Michelle Bellamy, and their father Steve Bellamy.
Come and view this painting on Tuesday 20th October 5:30-7pm (RSVP) at the Parnell Gallery.
